MIT senior Nik Sandu has been featured in a recent MIT News article highlighting her work as a researcher, educator, and community leader. A materials science and engineering major and student in the Scheller Teacher Education Program (STEP), Nik is currently completing her student teaching placement at the Community Charter School of Cambridge while also pursuing cutting-edge research in materials science.

The article showcases Nik’s passion for science education, commitment to community, and dedication to making STEM more accessible for future generations of students. Through STEP, she is working toward her teaching licensure while preparing for a future that bridges both research and education.
