We are thrilled to welcome our new postdoctoral learning designer Milly Farid to the MIT Scheller Teacher Education Program. Milly will be joining the XQ Math Team, helping us to create Project Based Learning curriculum and playful assessments.

Her research draws on design-based research approaches in supporting and understanding processes of mathematics thinking and learning, particularly student engagement in authentic disciplinary practices. She has extensive experience developing robust mathematics curricula, particularly in an effort to disrupt persistent educational inequality. She holds a PhD in mathematics education and an MA in mathematics from the University of California Berkeley, as well as a BA in mathematics from Columbia University.

We are thrilled to have Milly at STEP with her wealth of experience and creative drive.

Please join us in wishing her a warm welcome!
