Rachel Moody is the Teacher Education Program Manager. She comes from a doctoral program at Boston College, where she supervised student teachers all around Boston and taught courses in their teacher licensure sequence. For three years during her studies, she was also an adjunct lecturer in education at Brandeis University. Rachel holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Wellesley College and an M.A. in Education from the Stanford Teacher Education Program. Her K-12 teaching experience includes time in public schools and group homes in Costa Rica and Mexico, working in migrant education in California, and teaching Spanish for 5 years in Cambridge, MA. She loves designing engaging and equitable assessments and thinking about how to merge her other passion—woodworking—with her background in teaching. Rachel is very excited to be in a role where she gets to work so closely with pre-service teachers and help people engage deeply with the complexities of teaching.
