Josh Sheldon

AI + Science Curriculum Lead

Josh Sheldon is an educator who works in the development of, research on, and training for high-quality educational materials across multiple domains. His primary area has been STEM education, and an important theme of his work has been equity and representation. He worked to broaden participation in computer science education while leading the NSF-funded PACE project at the MIT Teaching Systems Lab. As the Associate Director of the MIT App Inventor group, Sheldon sought to empower youth and others to build powerful, personalized mobile apps that matter. Other notable efforts include work on the BioGraph project, TaleBlazer map-based outdoor augmented reality, expeditions through the JASON Project, and middle and high school teaching.
