Applications Now Open for SEPT at MIT — July 5–10, 2026

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Science and Engineering Program for Teachers (SEPT), taking place on the MIT campus from Sunday, July 5th through Friday, July 10th, 2026. We look forward to welcoming a new cohort of outstanding educators for a week of hands-on learning, collaboration, and exploration at MIT.

For more than three decades, SEPT has brought together middle and high school STEM teachers from around the world for an immersive professional development experience. Since 1989, over 2,000 educators—recognized for their innovation, creativity, and leadership—have participated in this unique program.

During the week, SEPT teachers attend lectures by leading scientists and engineers, experiment with cutting-edge technologies developed in MIT labs, and engage in meaningful conversations with professors, students, researchers, and fellow educators. The program provides time and space to exchange ideas, explore new tools, and strengthen teaching practice within a vibrant community of passionate STEM educators.
