ALERT: PHONY MESSAGE

- Subject: ALERT: PHONY MESSAGE
Some members of this list (specifically, people who have contributed
messages in recent months) may have
received a phony message "from" starlogo-users@media.mit.edu. The topic
line will vary (I think it will usually be the topic line from the
message you originally sent). The message invites you to visit a URL,
and offers an executable enclosure with "Hypercool Happy New Year 2000
funny programs and animations." Don't bite!
Due to the risk of viruses and other vandalism, it is not our practice
to forward messages with executable enclosures to this list. If you
receive a message with an executable enclosure that appears to come from
starlogo-users, it is probably a fake.
Sorry for the inconvenience. We'll see if there is anything we can do to
improve security on the list.
