The documentation for the PC alpha is absent because it is essentially
the same
as the documentation for version 1.5 of MacIntosh StarLogo. I'm not
sure if MIT
still has that documentation available on line, but if you can find it,
that's what
you should use. A couple of 1.5 commands have changed to conform with
the
way 2.0 does things. (While the commands in question escape me at the
moment,
if a certain command doesn't work, and the 2.0 form is different from
the 1.5
version, try that.)

As far as i know, the patches-own [ variables ] command should be
working. I'm sure that it was in the earlier alphas, but who knows,
maybe i
nudged something out of whack. I'll check on this.

I have to apologize for that. I've seen it before, but gave it low
priority.
It's on the list for the next alpha now.
