Here's an idea for a model I would love to see produced:
A model showing people interacting in a fairly simple situation. I'm
not sure what situation you would want to use... maybe a classroom or
a family or a country where the people interract in simple ways. But
what I would love to play with would be assigning the people various
levels of "selfishness". See
http://www.vix.com/objectivism/Writing/NathanielBranden/ReflectionsOnS
elflessness.html where the author talks about what it means to be
selfish. Could you make a simple model that explored how highly
"selfless" people would spend more time attempting to help others
than helping themselves while a large group of selfish people
spending more time helping themselves (and having a higher success
percentage because they know themselves x times better than others
know them) would make more or less successful "patterns" or
societies. I'm sorry if my idea is underdeveloped but it intrigues
me and if it helps you come up with some ideas then GREAT!
Thanks for your time,
Scott Swain
