At the risk of answering a post which called for the insight of a prophet
(not me!) I agree that it would be great to see more substantive
discussions here so.....
A while back we did a survey of StarLogo users. It seems we have both
researchers and teachers using StarLogo. We'd like to include everyone in
the conversations on this list. We hope that in addition to the usual
hints, etc. this will enable rich cross-fertilization.
Perhaps interested list members can give a brief introduction and respond
to the following "seeds":
(teachers - or anyone else!) Have you contextualized StarLogo programs
and used them in classes? If so, what kinds of things have been most
successful? If you've tried but run into challenges, what are the
additional resources you need? I suspect many people on this list have
insights on both fronts.
(researchers - or anyone else!) Are you using StarLogo to test your own
hunches or to create models that generate data for you?
Please let us all know -- it sounds like many people on the list are
patiently waiting for something to start...
