[starlogo-users] Newbie: Communication between Turtles

Hello,
 
I'm new to StarLogo. Now I want to know how communication between the
Turtles works.
Can they pass messages to one another which represent a signal or a numeric
value?
What is the general concept of interaction between a Turtle and its
environment?
