Hi,

Guided by a hint from Eric Klopfer I tried different WMs on the Linux 
version of StarLOGO. Didn't succeed with the Gnome & KDE desktop (under 
Ubuntu Linux 6.10) as both didn't accept any commands from the console 
(neither observer nor turtle commands).
Then I tried JWM under which I succeded. This is a rather simple 
Windowmanager which doesn't give you the features you may be accostumed 
to & has to be get used to, but you can use with Firebird and 
Thunderbird for instance (I am writing this with Firebird under the JWM).
If you have any questions and/or hints to get your ball running under 
Linux let me hear from you.
