FAQ
What are the system requirements?
We have tested the applications on many Palm OS machines
from Palm OS 3.5-5.X, this includes M100 series, M500 series,
Zire, Tungsten, and many Clie and Handspring machines. It
also includes some older Palm III and V series machines that
have been upgraded.
When will there be a version for the Pocket PC?
One of the games (Live Long and Prosper) has already been ported to the Pocket PC. We have released a
beta of that software in conjunction with the developer (Alex Bick) here. We are
also working on another related Pocket PC project that we hope to release within the next 6-12 months.
Can you download data from the simulations?
We are working on the facility to download data into a file
that can be analyzed on a desktop computer. The way this
will likely take place is that the teacher will beam all
of the data to his/her Palm and then sync that one Palm to
a computer where the data will download. This feature is planned for the Nets Work game to be released in spring of 2005.
When will new games be out?
We expect to release two new games in the coming months (Nets Work and "Palmagatchi")l. We'll also try to continue to release new games throughout
the year.
Where can I go for more help?
The best place will be from other users on the bulletin
board (but someone has to be first). You can also email
us at pda@education.mit.edu.
