StarLogo TNG is The Next Generation of StarLogo modeling and simulation software. While this version holds true to the premise of StarLogo as a tool to create and understand simulations of complex systems, it also brings with it several advances. Through TNG we hope to:
- Lower the barrier to entry for programming with a graphical interface where language elements are represented by colored blocks that fit together like puzzle pieces.
- Entice more young people into programming through tools that facilitate making games.
- Use 3D graphics to make more compelling and rich games and simulation models.

StarLogo TNG has finally reached 1.2! After many years and several previews/betas we have finally arrived at version 1.2 for StarLogo TNG. We have been working with this version for many months in classrooms around the country, so we think that you will appreciate the new features and enhanced stability.
We still have more work to do (version 1.5 is coming in August, complete with online project sharing and 3D model importing from SketchUp), and there is new curriculum that will come online soon, as well as a new StarLogo TNG community.
