Blog Day 1

About my day:

What worked:
I like the presentation style. I really enjoyed the time to play with the programs individually and make modifictions, more of this would be good. Good lunch break time. Things in general are flexible (such as schedule, though we try, small tangents still happen), which makes for a generally fun time.

What didn't work:
Could have gone faster, its difficult to modify the program to do a lot of things until we know how to detect collisions. I think that it would work better if we were taught a lot of what we will learn (after we know the basics of Starlogo programs) and have fewer, longer breaks to play with modifications so we get to modifications with more advanced abilities like collisions (so they are more interesting) faster.

The First day

I had fun overall. Its good to know that there are other people who like to program games. I also was a little bit bored because I have programmed a lot before and this is fairly easy stuff. I want to learn more about strategies for planning games, good ways to market games and stuff like that. I like deconstructing games and I enjoyed that part of today. It would be really cool if we could learn
