M.I.T. game development and computer science curriculum
Submitted by eklopfer on October 18, 2005 - 3:06pm.MIT, renowned for its undergraduate programs in computer science, is one of the best places in the country for aspiring computer scientists to hone their interest and expertise in game development.
Students seeking careers as game developers often major in both computer science (Course 6) and Comparative Media Studies (CMS), the home of many creative experts. While programming expertise is built in computer science courses, principles of character design, story development, and other essential skills are honed in CMS, along with critical connections to key insiders in the games industry.
